How To Eat

how to eat our chocolates

a guide to understanding the kokomonk experience

These are not candy version of the chocolate. They will not work if you are eating them like a kit kat. Almost all our ingredients are raw, uncooked and there is no added sugar in the fillings of them. In other words they are all pure, wholefood version of the chocolates.

This is how you eat Koko Monk Chocolates:

Have a bite, crush/chew 4-5 times and then let it sit on your tongue. They will react your body temperature and will start to change from beginning to the end. In a way they will give you a time line. Some of them such as “mango tequila with Serrano chilli” will keep going almost over a minute. You will start with familiar mango, and then gradually pass into tequila. From there on you will start to feel some sort of a strange saltiness raising up at the back of your tongue. That is actually not salt but the flavour of the chilli playing with the memory of salt because of chilli/savoury conditioning of your brain. Finally when you gulp down the chocolate, at the end you will be hit by the surge of the Serrano chilli.
