ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Kickstarter Project will launch February 26th, 2018 and finish on April 4th.
Shipping will take place until the end of April. All Canada pledges will receive free shipping. USA and international pledges will incur shipping costs (due to additional fees).
What the project is for:
Since opening in Kitsilano in 2013, Koko Monk’s unique hot chocolate creations have been recognized by various media channels, including: “27 Of The Greatest Places In The World To Get Hot Chocolate” by BuzzFeed; “10 Of The Most Insanely Decadent Mugs Of Hot Chocolate Across Canada” by Chatelaine magazine; and “Top 10 Places to Drink Hot Chocolate” by BiteMeMore.com. Koko Monk currently offers 14 intriguing flavours of hot chocolate, including: A Non-Conformist’s Plea For An Imaginary Summer – tomato hot chocolate with rose and raspberry; Strange Gravity – oregano hot chocolate with melon and touch of anise; Brunette Bangle – curry hot chocolate with coconut liquor.
While we have enjoyed capturing the attention of hot chocolate fans, due to customer demand we would love to offer more “brew at home” version of our Hot Chocolate mixes.
Currently, of the 14 different, extremely unique hot chocolate products we have designed, only one of them (the classic, “Authentic Hot Chocolate” version) is available to sell as a packaged product. We are now poised to launch a meaningful project to expand our available “brew at home” product line with some of our most popular hot chocolate options.
We have invested a lot of time in creating a “brew at home” hot chocolate. After conducting meticulous research, we have reached the development stage in generating unique, easy-to-make and incredibly flavourful versions of our three (Authentic Hot Chocolate, Turkish Mocha and Matcha Tea White Hot Chocolate) hot chocolate products in the form of Hot Chocolate Cubes!
Our goal is to fund the equipment needed for two purposes:
1. To open a second Koko Monk Chocolates store. The new store will be located on West Broadway in the Kitsilano neighbourhood. We look forward to opening in Fall 2018.

$100 and $150 pledges will also receive Koko Monk’s “Applewood Smoked Crunchy Parmesan Toffee Dark Chocolate Bark” exclusively crafted for this Kickstarter project! This treat is made to complement single malt scotch and full body red wines.
$500 pledges will receive a hot chocolate subscription, with a set of 12 of each flavour of Hot Chocolate Cubes for the winter months (total 36 Hot Chocolate Cubes). And, for the warmer months, Iced Hot Chocolate versions of the same flavours, along with instructions for use.

$1000 pledges will receive an exclusive customized hot chocolate set!
We’ll conduct a short over-the-phone interview with you so we can design an exclusive Hot Chocolate around your personality and your favourite flavours!
You will receive a set of 50 customized Hot Chocolate Cubes that have been created just for you. Each individual set is comprised of six cubes.
